Holy screaming fan girls batman….I like to enjoy my movies (paid for or not) without ninny squealing fan girls making annoying noises every time the boys they drool over shows up on screen, or says something “teen girl romantic”, or gives the female lead a longing to be with them type stare. (If I had a gif of rolling eyes it would go here)
Oh and to every girl/tween/teen and woman (mothers with daughters or not this means you too)
LEGGINGS ARE NOT PANTS!!!!!!!!!!!! EVER!!!!!
you are steps away from being a two bit hooker wearing tights and not having anything actually covering your ass. No ones got the guts to tell you “everyone can see what kind of underwear you are wearing” (if any at all YUCK!)….sorry for the tangent, but i had to get it off my chest.
Any way, aside from being in the second worst row to be sitting in -that literally being the second row from the screen, and having to lean as far back as the seat would allow to kind of see the entire screen- I enjoyed the film, having never read the books, and I look forward to either waiting for the next film to know what happens next, or I’ll get my hands on the books and head them off at knowing the ending.
It’ll likely be the second one. I need something new to read anyway.
Final Opinion: Worth the watch, but save yourself the headache and go sometime after the first two weekends after opening, lest you be stuck in the front two rows. There is so much to see that it’ll be better from a little further away.
Oh ya, to the fan girls once more. I was close enough to Peeta (
Josh Hutcherson), Gale (Liam Hemsworth), and Cato (Alexander Ludwig) that I could have pinched their bums. hahahahaha, but I was there to watch a free movie and watching one of you airheads get told by a bodyguard and getting very close to getting kicked out was enough of a thrill for me.
Boom, solution to my forgetting to take a picture everyday. Apps are amazing. I think I’ll set the reminder alarm to start April 1st. there is a good chance that most of these pictures will suck most days as now I am working an actual part-time job three days a week, but hey, you never know.

Lets hope attempt number two goes better then the first.
German photographer Martin Klimas drops porcelain martial arts characters from a three meters height and photographs them the moment they hit the ground. The dramatic results give these awesome photos a cinematic feel.

seriously, how do you think he came up with the idea for this? Was he walking through a figurine store and think “Hmmm…I bet these break beautifully” ???
This is his most amazing piece of work I’ve ever seen. One day I hope I can come up with something that amazes people in a similar way.
Dream Big!
This is a bridge in Paris. You hang locks on it with the name of you & your boyfriend/girlfriend/best-friend then throw the key into the river. So even though the friend/relationship may end, you can’t remove the lock. It stays there forever, as relevance to someone once a part of your life.
so cool
I wanna do this one day :3
I will do this one day, if just to be in Paris.
I think I don’t have the discipline to go for a photo a day just yet. Matty and I kinda kept each other going with the movie challenge so I think i’ll make this a regular blog, where I’ll post what I can, when I can.
Waiting to hear back about a potential job soon anyway, so having a day job would just get in the way…
Matty got me a Lubitel for Christmas too so, film takes more time, but I can’t wait to get my hands on some so I can take it out for a test spin. I’m hoping to get some really nice black & white with it, cause in looking through my portfolio recently, I have one that I love, and nothing else.
Happy 2012 Everybody!
I’ve been thinking a little about the ground rules I want to set for my photo-a-day challenge. Since I will likely be taking more then one photo when I go out to try and get my one, I think I’ll be trying to aim for a photo I like most. Weather it is the strongest image or not from that days shooting adventure won’t matter, it’ll have to be something about the image that I love most.
*I will accept any and all criticism, but for those wishing to dish it out. Be prepared to take some too. The one thing I hate most about the internet is peoples willingness to be as mean as they can be because they think there will be no consequences for their actions. I will post questions or arguments with my defense for my work because taking a hit is all part of being an artist. It can only make me stronger. And that’s something I hope all aspiring artist choose to follow, no one can tell you your work isn’t good enough. If you love it, it is. *
Back to business….
I’m thinking I may have themed months, but the subject of the month will likely be decided the night before the 1st of each month, somewhat as Matty and I did with the movies. it’ll depend on what think I might feel like shooting, though since I like to try so many things there may not be many monthly themes going on here, so as not to restrict myself from missing a great shooting opportunity.
I think the most challenging part in all this will be the days when I really don’t want to make myself pick up a camera. Sometimes a ay comes along that you don’t want to do anything, let alone something that isn’t crucial. It happened a few times through the movie challenge when Matty asked me what movie we’d be watching tonight and my brain would just scream NOOOOO, NO MORE MOVIES!
I would love for some feed back on this though, any ideas anyone would like to share?
I feel some Holiday and food images coming on for tomorrow! That could be because I’ve been staring at the table top Christmas tree and candy canes for days now, thinking of images. And I’m making Cake-pops for the first time tomorrow. Here’s hoping they come out looking decent.
So, I’m sitting here wondering what to do with my time. I have a whole lot of it now. Even more so then I did between Dec 1st 2010 and Nov 30th 2011. Matty and I successfully tried our had at a personal challenge to watch 500 movies in 1 year. It was trying at times, as at a few points if the challenge you just have a day where the only thing you don’t want to do is watch a movie. But triumph we did.
I am currently hoping for a job opportunity come the new year but until I hear back about that I have tones of time to try and fill in each day so that I don’t go mad with the stir crazies.
I’m thinking of combining trying to expand my portfolio with a challenge to myself to take one photo I can say I love every day. Being a perfectionist means that any photos I attempt to take I’ll be taking more then one until it is as right as I can get it, especially in camera. But allowing for some post work should I feel it I am going to have a set list of rules this time around for this challenge to myself.
Watching movies is all in good fun. But this is about having something tangible to show people, something to make them think “It looks like this young lady knows her stuff, I should hire her.”
Jan 1st will be my starting date. A true calendar year of one photo a day.
